Guest Lecture by Alina Aulbur (Universität Siegen): “Frances Burney’s Evelina: Sentimental Subversion”

Alina Aulbur will give a guest lecture in Dr. Dennis Henneböhl’s seminar “The Sentimental Mode in the 18th Century”. The topic will be “Frances Burney’s Evelina: Sentimental Subversion”, discussing Burney’s engagement with the eighteenth-century literary tradition of sentimentalism in her first novel. The Institute for English and American Studies is excited to welcome Alina Aulbur, who is an expert in Eighteenth-Century Studies, especially the work of Frances Burney.
