The library has reopened. Currently, no more than 20 persons may visit the library at a time.

About the Library

The departmental library houses two collections: American Studies (Amerikanistik) and English Philology (Englische Philologie). It is located in C-tower, Bismarckstr. 1, Erlangen; the entrance is on the 6th floor (room C602). Opening Hours

During the semester: Monday to Friday, 10am-6pm

During the semester break: Monday to Friday, 10am-4pm

Research and Study/Work

The library offers three research stations and eight desks. You may use the research stations to conduct quick searches as well as the document scanner and copying machine. If you plan to study at or work from the library for a longer period of time, you must register at the front desk and fill out a contact tracing form.

Lending Period

The lending period usually is four weeks. If a book or other medium is on high demand (i.e. has been reserved by more than two people), the lending period for this title will be reduced to two weeks automatically.
