Departmental Library
Due to COVID-19 and the current lockdown, our departmental library remains closed. However, urgently needed books may be ordered via the library catalogue and can then be picked up from Teilbibliothek 04.
About the Library
The departmental library houses two collections: American Studies (Amerikanistik) and English Philology (Englische Philologie). It is located in C-tower, Bismarckstr. 1, Erlangen; the entrance is on the 6th floor (room C602). Opening Hours
During the semester: Monday to Friday, 9am-7pm
During the semester break: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
Research and Study/Work
The library offers three research stations and eight desks. You may use the research stations to conduct quick searches. If you plan to study at or work from the library for a longer period of time, you must register at the counter and fill out a contact tracing form.

To search the library collection, please consult OPAC, the FAU’s online public access catalog.
Lending Period
The lending period usually is four weeks. If a book or other medium is on high demand (i.e. has been reserved by more than two people), the lending period for this title will be reduced to two weeks automatically.
