The interdisciplinary research project “Reeducation Revisited: Transnational and Comparative Perspectives on the Post-World War II Period in the US, Japan, and Germany” has received funding from the DFG. Headed by Dr. Katharina Gerund (American Studies), Prof. Dr. Heike Paul (American Studies), and Prof. Dr. Fabian Schäfer (Japanese Studies), the project examines post-World War II US-American reeducation politics in Germany and Japan in a transnational and comparative perspective. As part of this project, the departments of American Studies and Japanese Studies at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg currently invite applications for two three-year PhD-positions (13 TV-L; 65%).
