Heike Paul Joins Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities

Prof. Dr. Heike Paul, chair of American Studies, has been initiated as a full member into the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities (Bayerische Akademie der Wissenschaften). Founded in 1759, the academy aims at establishing interdisciplinary networks and furthering the dialog between the academia and the general public. New members are chosen on the basis of merit: To become eligible, scholars must have made a substantial contribution to their academic field.
