The Chair of English Cultural and Literary Studies is delighted to welcome Prof. Dr. Susanne Scholz from the Goethe University Frankfurt for a guest lecture in Lou Pfeiffer’s seminar “The (Post)Colonial in Victorian Literature and Culture” on Monday, the 29th of June. Susanne Scholz is a scholar of Early Modern, Eighteenth- and Nineteenth-Century English Literature as well as Gender Studies, Literary Anthropology and Visual Culture Studies. Within the seminar, she will give a talk on “Dracula’s Evolutionist Nightmare”, examining Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel through a reading of evolutionary theory. The guest lecture is open to everyone.
